A new home design with a detached garage can create a lot of opportunities. Perhaps a portion of it could be utilized as a workshop best situated apart from the home, or perhaps it simply presents the best use of the dimensions or varying slope of the lot. However configured or whatever the reason, this is a very enjoyable and classic home design.
Within the home’s living area, a large U-shaped kitchen with a walk-in pantry and wine storage presents a fantastic epicurean environment. The kitchen in this home is proportionally one of the larger kitchens that we have designed, and it showcases incredible under counter and overhead cabinet storage as well as a huge island that ties the kitchen and great room together.
The same flow repeats outdoors with a covered loggia that offers optional bar seating and outdoor fireplace. The fireplace is a cozy option that creates separation from the patio area directly accessed by the Primary Suite. The guest suite would be an ideal option for long-term guests or multifamily living. As a door opens from the guest suite to the outside, the suite could also live as an attached ADU.
The spacious three car detached garage could be as close or as far away from the home as you prefer. Cleverly designed with an upper loft area, it offers a nice home away from home retreat. We imagine this space as being one that would be fantastic for an private office, workshop – or artist’s studio?
