Team Spotlight: Andrea Ruiz

Andrea RuizWe’re back with another team member spotlight! Today we’re highlighting Andrea Ruiz, our very talented and highly versatile Office Manager. As a valued member of our team, Andrea handles a multitude of clerical and administrative tasks, earning her the very apt nickname “Swiss Army Knife,” from Keith. Andrea truly embodies our core values of integrity, honesty, hard work and service, and we’re so grateful to have her!

Andrea first came to work with us at Christopherson in 1991 and has been with us on and off for about 16 years. In between working with us, she’s previously held positions as an Event Coordinator for Francis Ford Coppola Winery and as an Automotive Service Writer for Cloverdale Automotive. Currently, Andrea handles a bit of everything; she answers our phones, manages all the front desk activities, and keeps us stocked in office supplies. Highly skilled in administrative duties, she provides assistance to our Vice President of Construction, Jim Hakel, as well as our Purchasing Department. Andrea also submits, tracks, and pulls all our building permits at the City of Santa Rosa and County of Sonoma. She wears many hats here and is an integral member of our team.

Originally from Oakland, Andrea has lived in Sonoma County since she was 10 years old. A graduate of Geyserville High School and later Empire Business College, construction is truly in her veins. Before moving to Sonoma County, her parents had a small construction company in Oakland; after moving to Geyserville, they opened Zunino Construction, which they ran for many years prior to retirement. The company has since been taken over by her sister and brother-in-law and renamed Gehrett & Zunino Builders. Her long-standing understanding of the construction industry and skillful administrative abilities make her an incredibly knowledgeable and extremely capable member of our team.

If you call our office or stop by, chances are you’ll speak to Andrea. Her dedication to our clients and company values, along with her can-do attitude, makes her an invaluable asset to our company and our community. We’re so happy to have her back with us and we greatly appreciate all she does for us every day!
