Most of our local team has been working together for 20 years developing and building new homes.
The Christopherson Builders Team is comprised of a dedicated, experienced group of full-time engineers, purchasing and construction managers, construction personnel, design professionals, and an exceptionally knowledgeable finance and administrative team eager to assist and support efforts to bring clients their dream homes. Our teamwork and all-inclusive project management guarantees a personal, interactive experience.

Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Keith began his career in Real Estate and Construction in the 1970s as an apprentice carpenter. In 1978 he co-founded Christopherson Construction with his wife, Brenda, which evolved into Christopherson Homes several years later.
During Christopherson Homes early days Keith ran a home-framing crew of roughly 80 carpenters and laborers, framing homes for other Builders and Developers, and was building small developments and building on scattered lots. By 1990 Christopherson Homes was being recognized as a leading builder in the Santa Rosa area, having completed several developments and earning a growing brand based on honesty, quality, great architecture, leading a quality team, and providing value for its shareholders and investors.
Over the following years Christopherson Homes successfully built thousands of homes in more than 60 developments in Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Solano, Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, and Glenn Counties, through two Operating Divisions, one located in Santa Rosa and the other in Roseville.
Some highlights of awards and recognition Christopherson Homes received over the years:
- Received the coveted “Best Community of the Year” from the Sacramento Building Industry for “The Avenues” which was the company’s first venture into the Sacramento market with 162 new homes and eight model homes.
- Received the JD Power Award in 2004 for best among Bay Area Homebuilders and ranked third in the United States in Customer Satisfaction.
- Christopherson Homes was rewarded the North Bay Area’s “Best Builder Award” for many successive years which is voted upon by readers of Sonoma Biz Magazine.
- Christopherson Homes built a home for Habitat for Humanity in 2006 in two days.
- Brenda and Keith were inducted into the California Building Industry Foundation’s
Hall of Fame in 2006.
Keith’s expertise is in building and managing a highly performing company, delivering great homes and value to customers, shareholders and investors. Keith is hands-on and is involved daily in land acquisitions, finance, strategy, planning, operations, sales, and warranty service.
Keith has been President of the Building Industry Association twice and served on the Board for many years. He is past President of the Sonoma County Alliance, current Board Member of Community Housing of Sonoma County, specializing in building and managing housing for homeless Veterans.
Keith has also been heavily involved in other groups serving and helping Veterans and is a decorated Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Brenda started in the real estate/construction/home building Industry in the early 1980’s and is currently the co-founder and president of the newly formed Christopherson Builders as well as president of Christopherson Properties, both located in Santa Rosa, CA.
Currently, the main focus of these companies is assisting the survivors of the October 2017 wildfires. Christopherson Homes had built many of the homes which were lost and those homeowners sought out Brenda and husband Keith to assist them with their rebuild efforts. Once the Christopherson name was associated with these efforts, homeowners from many of the affected communities have reached out for assistance. Many of the award winning Christopherson Homes team also reached out to help recreate the Christopherson Brand and to assist Brenda and Keith with their efforts in rebuilding of the community.
Previously, Brenda was of co-founder of Christopherson Homes, Christopherson Realty and Artisan Signature Properties. All of her companies have been industry leaders in purchasing raw land, developing, designing, marketing and selling residential real estate for more than 35 years in eight counties in Northern California amounting to more than 60 communities.
Recognized as a highly respected private builder, leader, innovator and visionary, Brenda was the recipient of the first Lifetime Achievement for Marketing Excellence for Northern California Home Builders Association. Brenda and the entire Christopherson team have been the recipient of hundreds of awards including Communities of the Year, Marketing Team of the Year, Gold Nugget and JD Powers for Customer Satisfaction to name a few. She has always been an approachable mentor to women in the industry and received the inaugural North Bay Women in Business award. Brenda and her husband Keith were honored in 2006 with induction into the California Homebuilders Hall of Fame. They were the first husband and wife team to be so honored with this award, and Brenda was only the second female builder to receive this honor in more than 26 years.
Chief Financial Officer
Katy graduated with a BS degree in Accounting from University of the Pacific and is also a Certified Public Accountant. She began her career with Arthur Anderson & Co. in San Francisco, then worked for a large residential developer in the Bay Area before moving to Santa Rosa and becoming the Controller for Christopherson Homes for 20 years. Katy was most recently the CFO for Scott Laboratories, a supplier to the wine industry, and was honored to receive a top CFO award from the North Bay Business Journal. She is very excited to be back working to rebuild the community with the Christopherson team. Katy lives in Windsor with her family where she is active in the community. She has served as a trustee for the Windsor Unified School District for two terms and is a Director for the Windsor Educational Foundation. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, pets and new grandson Leo.
Vice President of Construction
Jim Hakel is vice president of construction for Christopherson Builders. Jim has extensive experience building new home subdivisions and commercial construction. Jim has successfully built multiple subdivisions and was recognized for his success by the Home Builders Association in 2002. Jim has a degree in Business Management from San Jose State University and Green Building Certification from Sonoma State University. We are excited to have Jim on the Christopherson Builders team, leading the team who executing rebuilds for our community.
Amy Christopherson Bolten
Director of Marketing / Broker
Amy was raised in real estate. As a child, Amy spent weekends viewing new home developments and visiting open houses, and as an adult, worked in new home communities with Christopherson Homes. Having seen multiple aspects of real estate through many economies, Amy understands a broad spectrum of the business. Amy has been a licensed broker for eight years and during this time purchased and sold dozens of homes. Currently, Amy is the broker of record for Christopherson Properties.

Howard Pedersen recently was promoted to Operations Manager. Howard returned to the Christopherson Team as Purchasing Manager in early 2018, bringing years of experience in building quality homes back to help with the rebuild efforts in Santa Rosa. Howard works in tandem with Bob Fortney, also Purchasing Manager, where he manages plan review with vendors, pricing, and negotiation of subcontractor contracts. He works with all facets of the company including finance, estimates, design, and construction. Howard is welcomed back to the Christopherson Team where he was an integral asset with Christopherson Homes for nearly 12 years from the late 1990s up until the real estate downturn in 2009. During the downturn Howard and his family moved to Chico, Calif. where he and his wife built homes. This spring, inspired by the opportunity to help rebuild his home town, he returned to the local team where working together is like second nature. Howard was born and raised in Santa Rosa, Calif. and his passion for the construction industry started at a young age where he began designing plans in his teens. Howard is happy to be back in Santa Rosa, working with the Christophersons, and doing his part each day to return fire survivors to their homes.
Bob Fortney joined the Christopherson team in March this year tasked with the job of Purchasing Manager, an integral and dynamic aspect of the company. Bob manages the buying out of all subcontractor contracts, gets plans out to different vendors, negotiates numbers and awards contracts. Bob works each day to ensure everything is moving along according to plan and budget including dirt work, underground work, site work and the actual building cost of the houses. He started in the construction industry about 35 years ago as an apprentice, moved up to journeyman carpenter, then to supervision, before entering into the purchasing manager role with ten years of overall experience in purchasing. For Bob it’s a matter of getting a fair price and quality contractors to extend along to our community. Bob, has lived in Sonoma County for most of his life and is eager to help the community rebuild from the devastating fires of last year.
Craig LaMothe, project manager, was born and raised in Northern California, the last 30 years of which have been in Sonoma County. He has over 25 years experience in home building and new construction, over 10 of which have been with the Christopherson Team. He has been responsible for supervising over 25 large and small residential communities and custom homes, managing all phases of construction from grading to finish landscaping, from foundation to final quality control. He loves sharing the Christopherson core values with all homeowners with a focus on communication and quality, his goal is to make his client’s vision a reality by creating their dream home.
Richard (Dick) Carlile, PE, a civil engineering veteran, will oversee engineering, planning and surveying operations for Christopherson Builders. Dick joins our team with decades of wisdom and proven successes with both the Sonoma County Department of Public Works as well as with his own firm, Carlile-Macy. Dick as been responsible for land planning and civil engineering for numerous projects in the North Bay area throughout the years including Fountaingrove Ranch, Oakmont and The Sea Ranch. He has completed major public and private projects with specialties in site analysis, broad community concepts, and comprehensive urban and hillside design. He has been part of our community and knows the ins and outs of Sonoma County Public Works and design like no other. Dick has a long list of generous community involvement and knowledge and we are fortunate to have him onboard.
Operations Executive Assistant
Kp is the Operations Executive Assistant for Christopherson Builders and has been in the real estate/ construction industry for 25+ years. She started working for Christopherson Homes in 1993 and has remained through several company transitions to the newly formed Christopherson Builders. She has been instrumental in development of company-wide processes and project management, escrow tracking, budget development, and has held a variety of positions maximizing her time and management and organizational talents. For many years on her off time, Kp worked as a SCCA National Race Control Official and National Race Control Licensing Administrator. Kp enjoys living in the woods and a healthy lifestyle, home improvement projects, live music, motorsports, and sharing life with her husband Michael, cat Lucy, family and friends.
Office Manager / Building Permits
Andrea Ruiz, office manager/building permits, has been surrounded by the construction industry since childhood. It started with her parent’s construction company that turned into a family business. She has since spent a total of 15 years with the Christopherson’s starting in the early 1990’s. In that time Andrea has built a strong set of skills including permit submittal, tracking and pulling building permits for numerous communities.
Structural & Mechanical Engineer
Peter Borberg, Consulting Engineer, received a BS in Engineering from Clarkson University and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in California. He began his career in 1968 with Turner Construction Company in Philadelphia, supervising work on several projects and providing cost estimates for numerous large projects. In 1977 he was transferred to San Francisco as a site superintendent. In 1979 he started a general contracting firm managing all phases of lump sum, negotiated and design build projects including health care, school, municipal, residential, restaurant, office, waste treatment and warehouse uses. He returned to Turner in 1995 as the Project Manager on the San Francisco City Hall seismic retrofit project and was promoted to Project Executive then Operations Manager for the Interior Group. In 2002 he went to work for Mayacama Golf Club to manage design and construction including the clubhouse, swim facility, lodging units and private residences. Peter lives in Santa Rosa and is eager to help rebuild the community that he and his family have lived in for 38 Years.
David Pitts is a highly skilled licensed general contractor who is currently the Superintendent of Christopherson Properties Northern California home transformation division. David has been working with the Christophersons since 1988 when they worked together at Christopherson Homes. During the downturn, he worked independently before returning in 2015 to continue working with Keith and Brenda Christopherson 2015. The trust he has built with the Christophersons throughout the past 30 years makes working together second nature with complete trust both ways.
David is a long time Santa Rosa resident who grew up in an Air Force family. He enjoys transforming homes into masterpieces that homebuyers are proud of. In particular, he is proud of the fact that since last fall, all of the Christopherson Properties Northern California flip homes have been sold to fire survivors, providing well designed homes in good neighborhoods to settle in.
Craig joins the team with 34 years experience in the building industry. Craig worked with Christopherson Homes for 25 years previously as a trade partner and then moved on exploring opportunities as a sub-contractor for the past nine years. Craig came back to the Christopherson team because of the solid leadership and his desire to help the community rebuild. Craig is originally from Maine but has been local in Santa Rosa since 1987. In his off time he enjoys classic cars, gardening, and loves some good food and wine.
Mark joined Christopherson Builders in December 2018 as a Construction Manager and has quickly become a valuable asset to our growing team. With more than 30 years under his belt in the construction industry including extensive experience in both large commercial and residential projects, Mark has the knowledge and skills aligned with our mission to bring people back home.
In his role as Construction Manager, Mark is responsive to requests and is in charge of the flow of information from the job sites back to the office ensuring projects run as smooth as possible. He works with sub- contractors, ensures inspections are performed on time and makes sure all work is done to specification. Mark appreciates the opportunity with Christopherson Builders bringing the many skills and year of experience he has to help rebuild our community. He believes we’ve all been affected in some way by the fire storm and he feels these rebuilds are much more than just a house. As he says, we are actually rebuilding client’s homes, and in a way, rebuilding their lives, helping to make them whole again.
We are excited to announce Marlo Pedersen is back on the Christopherson team working in the role as Purchasing Coordinator. Marlo’s knowledge of the construction industry and familiarity with the company makes her the ideal person for this complex and fast-paced job. In her role, Marlo obtains bids from subcontractors, evaluates suppliers, communicates the findings with the purchasing team, and keeps jobs and bids moving down the pipeline. In addition, she issues contracts to subcontractors, assists in purchasing duties for finish items, and works on contracts and pricing for options and change orders.
Marlo previously worked for Christopherson Homes in the early 2000s as a purchasing agent so being on the team is familiar and rewarding to her. Recently she was living and working in Chico, Calif. where she is originally from. She and her family moved back to Chico to be close to family where she and her husband built homes for the past decade. Now, Marlo is happy to be back in Santa Rosa working with people she knows and appreciates. She says she couldn’t ask for better employers and people to work. We’re so glad you’re back on board, Marlo!
Craig spent eight years teaching elementary and middle school before joining the world of accounting. He earned his B.A. in Education from the University of Wyoming. After graduating he moved to Florida where he worked as a teacher. His eagerness to keep learning himself lead him to return to school earning his Master in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Nova Southeastern University in 2018.
We are thrilled to have someone of Craig’s caliber join our accounting team where his duties include reconciling bank and other accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer and vendor change orders, and gathering and submitting all info for construction loan draws and insurance draws for customer payments.
He and his wife and two-year-old son moved to Santa Rosa in 2018 where they have been enjoying their off-time outdoors, exploring the region. Craig enjoys the people he works with at Christopherson Builders, where he feels it’s more than a job, it’s a group of people who are more like family and a real community. Welcome, Craig! Billie is a solid addition to our finance department. Joining the team in Spring, 2019, Bille brings with her a strong work ethic and more than 20 years’ accounting experience. She is responsible for all accounts payable and enjoys her additional role supporting our CFO on special projects. Billie is a mom of three kids and five American Bulldogs. She loves camping, riding Harleys and enjoying the beauty of life in Sonoma County. A local Santa Rosan, she feels at home with the company and loves being part of the family-oriented work environment where people truly enjoy one another.
Realtor / Executive Assistant
Alex Soulard joins our team in the important role as Executive Assistant. In addition, Alex is a realtor and is here to serve our clients’ needs in the building process, to help with customer service, planning, and evaluating potential building sites. Originally from the Peninsula, Alex moved to Sonoma County in 2001 and graduated from Sonoma State University with a bachelor’s degree is Environmental Studies and Planning. Before entering Real Estate, Alex worked for Marin County for more than a decade as an Environmental Program Manager, focusing on programs in waste diversion, recycling, composting and hazardous materials disposal.
Alex has been a licensed REALTOR practicing in Sonoma County since 2017 and has helped several clients navigate the challenges of losing their home to fire and is focused on making the home finding process as stress free as possible. Alex joined the Christopherson Team in 2019 and is proving to be an invaluable asset with this energy and dedication he brings each day to the team.

Bob Rispoli recently rejoined the Christopherson team as a key member of our Purchasing team. Bob previously worked at Director of Purchasing at Christopherson Homes, first managing the Sacramento division before expanding his role to oversee the entire north bay Purchasing organization. After leaving Christopherson Homes with the downturn in 2008, Bob remained in the construction industry, working in energy and sustainability products, eventually owning his own company. Prior to Christopherson Homes, Bob spent 15 years in the field managing construction jobs, solidifying his experience with hands-on knowledge of homebuilding.
Greg Mohr is back on the Christopherson Team in the roll of Site Manger. A jack-of-all-trades, Greg has been in the construction industry for nearly 30 years working on every kind of project, every step of the way from tear out to finishing touches, from foundations to move ins. Previously, he was part Christopherson team for 15 years fulfilling customer service calls, community maintenance and detailing among other tasks. Greg enjoys the family atmosphere, respect for colleagues, caring and good communication at Christopherson where teamwork and camaraderie is so important. Greg is a life-long Santa Rosan and has lived in Windsor for the past 20 years with his wife and three kids.
Evan Bachelder joined the Christopherson team in Spring of 2018. We’re happy to have him onboard working as Site Manager for our flip homes where he oversees operations on a day-to-day basis ensuring work is done safely and to the correct quality standards . He began working in construction five years ago framing and prepping for sub contractors. Evan enjoys working with the team because each day is new and interesting and the challenges associated with going into a flip and bringing a project through to home sales is rewarding. A life-long Sonoma County local, Evan grew up in Kenwood and now resides in Santa Rosa where he enjoys hiking, cooking, and living simply in the Sonoma Wine Country.
Gabriel Lowry, Site Manager for Christopherson Properties, joins our team with more than 15 years’ experience in the construction industry. Gabriel specializes in finish carpentry and remodels and we are fortunate to have someone of his caliber on our team. In his role we rely on him to oversee daily operations at flips and renovations while ensuring work is performed to Christopherson standards. He most recently worked for Peacock Designs in Marin helping with large remodeling projects where climbed the ladder up to job site management. Originally from Marin, Gabriel now resides in Petaluma and feels the fit is right at Christopherson and the feeling is mutual.
Lee Yang is back on the Christopherson team working as Assistant Superintendent. Lee previously worked for Christopherson Homes for six years as a laborer amongst other jobs as he moved up in the ranks. Today, as Assistant Superintendent Lee works with the construction teams preparing and detailing job sites and making sure multiple projects are running smoothly each day. He is responsible for quality assurance, is trustworthy and a leader we are fortunate to have representing our company. Lee enjoys working with the team where he is continually growing and learning. A native Santa Rosan, Lee looks forward to helping his community get back on its feet.
Jerry Jacinto joined the Christopherson team in the fall of 2018. You can find him working amongst multiple job sites as our go-to for detailing, cleanup, errands, and everything else needed to keep our projects moving along each day toward completion. He previously worked in the electric guitar part industry for 17 years before moving to work with insulation for residential and commercial jobs for a few years. Now, Jerry brings his strong work ethic, communication skills and great attitude to help our construction team. He’s excited to play a part in rebuilding and helping his community. Jerry was born and raised in Santa Rosa and now resides in Windsor.
We welcome Alfredo to our Construction Department where he functions in the important role of Construction Assistant. Pedro joined our team last month and we are fortunate to have him on board. You can find him working on a variety of tasks on job sites where he keeps the work flowing and tidy during all stages of rebuilding. Alfredo is already a valued member of the team with a strong work ethic and we’re fortunate to have him on board.
He and his wife have five children and that’s what he enjoys during his off time. Welcome, Alfredo!
Linda McDonald Ahmadi
Linda Ahmadi, born and raised in Santa Rosa, is a marketing and communications consultant with more than 20 years experience. Linda previously worked in the air ambulance industry performing all aspects of marketing at REACH Air Medical Services. She now brings her energy and creativity to Christopherson Builders to help manage and execute communications and marketing strategies as well as the marketing tools needed to help our community rebuild.
Christopherson Builders is proud to announce Kass Hutchins is back with our team, focusing on marketing, merchandising and branding. Kass is excited to be back with a company she aligns herself with values and our “family” culture Christopherson has always instilled in the “team”. She is proud to be back contributing to our mission of putting people first and rebuilding our community
Kass will be assisting with sales research, model homes, sales office set up, general marketing and branding efforts. Her diverse knowledge and previous experience in the real estate and building industry make Kass a welcomed addition the Christopherson Builders Team.
She previously worked for Christopherson Homes, starting as Brenda Christopherson’s assistant and working her way to marketing supervisor during her 13 year tenure. Kass also worked for a commercial real estate company in office management, plus a contractor and property management company.
Design Studio Manager
Monica Dean has been promoted to Design Studio Manager for Christopherson Builders. In this role Monica is responsible for helping guide new home clients through their interior and exterior selections process to design their dream home. She also maintains the libraries of selections which encompass over a thousand new choices ranging from tile and flooring, to appliances, paint and roofing. Monica started at Christopherson Builders as a construction consultant, but her skills at design and customer service make her an excellence fit for this important role.
Before coming to Christopherson Builders, Monica co-owned and managed Design by Dean Construction for 12 years where she gained experience in customer service, accounting, production management, estimating, and showroom sales.
She’s is thrilled to be part of the talented Christopherson Builders team and is enjoying the group of people she works with, the fast-paced environment, and is passionate about helping to rebuild Sonoma County. Monica lives in Sebastopol, relocating from Southern California, and before Southern California, she lived Denmark.
Marit Cole is a Broker and Real Estate Agent for Christopherson Properties and is a great fit for the Christopherson Team. Marit has decades of experience specializing in new home sales and flip home purchases and sales. As a successful, full-time Realtor since 1986 Marit has extensive knowledge of Santa Rosa and the surrounding areas and has been through the ups and downs of the market.
Marit grew up in Loomis, California and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from San Diego State University. Next she moved north and spent time in South Lake Tahoe where she obtained her real estate license before settling in Santa Rosa, Calif. in 1986. For more than twenty years Marit specialized in new home sales, she then went on to work for Praxis Capital where she facilitated the rehabilitation of hundreds of home flips. In 2014, Marit became a licensed broker. Marit joined the Christopherson Team in January 2018. Her dedication, work ethic, professionalism and knowledge are a great asset to our team. She enjoys working with rebuild clients and fire survivors in her hometown knowing she is playing a small part in the rebuilding of her client’s bright futures.

Henry "Spud" Davis, Jr.
Henry (Spud) Davis, Jr. joined the Real Estate business in Sonoma County after a 30 year career in software engineering. Beginning at Synergy as a partner with his wife, Kat Breithaupt, and now with Christopherson Properties, Spud brings to the table his many talents in both business and construction to his real estate business. With a wealth of experience and knowledge, the benefits are many.
Born and raised in New England, Spud moved to Santa Rosa in 1993. Over the years and during the “Dot Com” craze, Spud worked for several telecommunications companies in Petaluma and then retired from Calix Networks in 2014. Since then, he has branched out in real estate specializing in Luxury Homes, Farms/Ranches/Vineyards and single family homes throughout Sonoma County.
