Many of our team members have been working together for over 20 years, developing and building new homes.
The Christopherson Builders Team is comprised of a dedicated, experienced group of full-time engineers, construction managers, purchasing professionals, estimators, construction personnel, design professionals, and exceptionally knowledgeable finance and administrative team eager to assist and support efforts to bring clients their dream homes. Our teamwork and all-inclusive project management guarantee a personal, interactive approach to building your home.

Keith began his career in Real Estate and Construction in the 1970s as an apprentice carpenter. In 1978 he co-founded Christopherson Construction with his wife, Brenda, which evolved into Christopherson Homes several years later.
During Christopherson Homes early days Keith ran a home-framing crew of roughly 80 carpenters and laborers, framing homes for other Builders and Developers, and was building small developments and building on scattered lots. By 1990 Christopherson Homes was being recognized as a leading builder in the Santa Rosa area, having completed several developments and earning a growing brand based on honesty, quality, great architecture, leading a quality team, and providing value for its shareholders and investors.
Over the following years Christopherson Homes successfully built thousands of homes in more than 60 developments in Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Solano, Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, and Glenn Counties, through two Operating Divisions, one located in Santa Rosa and the other in Roseville.
Some highlights of awards and recognition Christopherson Homes received over the years:
- Received the coveted “Best Community of the Year” from the Sacramento Building Industry for “The Avenues” which was the company’s first venture into the Sacramento market with 162 new homes and eight model homes.
- Received the JD Power Award in 2004 for best among Bay Area Homebuilders and ranked third in the United States in Customer Satisfaction.
- Christopherson Homes was rewarded the North Bay Area’s “Best Builder Award” for many successive years which is voted upon by readers of Sonoma Biz Magazine.
- Christopherson Homes built a home for Habitat for Humanity in 2006 in two days.
- Brenda and Keith were inducted into the California Building Industry Foundation’s
Hall of Fame in 2006.
Keith’s expertise is in building and managing a highly performing company, delivering great homes and value to customers, shareholders and investors. Keith is hands-on and is involved daily in land acquisitions, finance, strategy, planning, operations, sales, and warranty service.
Keith has been President of the Building Industry Association twice and served on the Board for many years. He is past President of the Sonoma County Alliance, current Board Member of Community Housing of Sonoma County, specializing in building and managing housing for homeless Veterans.
Keith has also been heavily involved in other groups serving and helping Veterans and is a decorated Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Brenda Christopherson

Brenda started in the real estate/construction/home building industry in the early 1980s and is the co-founder and managing partner of Christopherson Builders as well as president of Christopherson Properties, both located in Santa Rosa, CA.
Currently, the main focus of these companies is assisting the survivors of the wildfires in Northern California, primarily in Sonoma, Napa and Solano counties. Christopherson Homes had built many of the homes which were lost and those homeowners sought out Brenda and her husband Keith to assist them with their rebuilding efforts. Once the Christopherson name was associated with these efforts, homeowners from many of the affected communities have reached out for assistance. Many of the award-winning Christopherson Homes team also reached out to help recreate the Christopherson Brand and to assist Brenda and Keith with their efforts in rebuilding the community.
Previously, Brenda was co-founder of Christopherson Homes, Christopherson Realty, and Artisan Signature Properties. All of her companies have been industry leaders in purchasing raw land, developing, designing, marketing, and selling residential real estate for more than 35 years in eight counties in Northern California amounting to more than 6,500 homes in 63 communities.
Recognized as a highly respected private builder, leader, innovator, and visionary, Brenda was the recipient of the first Lifetime Achievement for Marketing Excellence for Northern California Home Builders Association. Brenda and the entire Christopherson team have been the recipient of hundreds of awards including Communities of the Year, Marketing Team of the Year, Gold Nugget, and JD Powers for Customer Satisfaction to name a few. Brenda was on the board of directors for the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts and The Wells Fargo Center for 10 years as well as the YWCA and Boys and Girls club. She has always been an approachable mentor to women in the industry and received the inaugural North Bay Women in Business award. Brenda and her husband Keith were honored in 2006 with induction into the California Homebuilders Hall of Fame. They were the first husband and wife team to be so honored with this award, and Brenda was only the second female builder to receive this honor in more than 26 years.

Amy was raised in real estate. As a child, Amy spent weekends viewing new home developments and visiting open houses, and as an adult, working in new home communities with Christopherson Homes. Having seen multiple aspects of real estate through many economies, Amy understands a broad spectrum of the business. Amy has been a licensed broker for eight years and during this time purchased and sold dozens of homes. During this time she has also worked in the field flipping nearly 50 homes.

Doug Robinson has joined Christopherson Builders as Operations Director, and in this role he oversees our Purchasing & Estimating departments, bringing years of homebuilding experience and efficiency to our team. Doug comes to us with an extraordinary background that spans 30+ years and crosses multiple Western U.S. states. Doug’s pedigree includes Division President at Richmond American Homes, Vice President at JTS Communities, Director of Forward Planning at Homebound, and he is the owner of OneHome in Sacramento. With his combined years of industry-leading expertise, Doug has successfully driven the completion of over 5,000 new homes. Doug is a California licensed contractor, California licensed real estate broker, LEED accredited, and is certified in Xactimate estimating and HAZWOPER by OSHA. Doug resides in Sacramento, California where he loves to spend time with his family and dogs.

Katy graduated with a BS degree in Accounting from University of the Pacific and is also a Certified Public Accountant. She began her career with Arthur Anderson & Co. in San Francisco, then worked for a large residential developer in the Bay Area before moving to Santa Rosa and becoming the Controller for Christopherson Homes for 20 years. Katy was most recently the CFO for Scott Laboratories, a supplier to the wine industry, and was honored to receive a top CFO award from the North Bay Business Journal. She is very excited to be back working to rebuild the community with the Christopherson team. Katy lives in Windsor with her family where she is active in the community. She has served as a trustee for the Windsor Unified School District for two terms and is a Director for the Windsor Educational Foundation. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, pets and new grandson Leo.

Richard (Dick) Carlile, PE, a civil engineering veteran, will oversee engineering, planning and surveying operations for Christopherson Builders. Dick joins our team with decades of wisdom and proven successes with both the Sonoma County Department of Public Works as well as with his own firm, Carlile-Macy. Dick as been responsible for land planning and civil engineering for numerous projects in the North Bay area throughout the years including Fountaingrove Ranch, Oakmont and The Sea Ranch. He has completed major public and private projects with specialties in site analysis, broad community concepts, and comprehensive urban and hillside design. He has been part of our community and knows the ins and outs of Sonoma County Public Works and design like no other. Dick has a long list of generous community involvement and knowledge and we are fortunate to have him onboard.

Janine joined the Christopherson Builders team as Accounting Manager in March 2020. She began her accounting career doing accounts receivable for a Swiss-owned electrical connector company. Throughout her 14 year tenure there, she continued to advance her knowledge and quickly became an integral part of the finance team.
Janine earned her Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Finance from CSU Sacramento. More recently, she furthered her education by completing a Certificate in Accounting with a Specialization in Accounting for Controllers through UC Berkeley. This extended education along with her drive for excellence have been key ingredients to her success.
While living in Windsor for more than 30 years, Janine raised her son and daughter. She was active in PTA and volunteered for many school-related events while her children attended Windsor schools. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, and looks forward to scrapbooking with a local group several times a year. Often, Janine can be found wine tasting somewhere in beautiful Sonoma County.

We are so pleased to have Ginger on the team as our Sales and Marketing Manager! Ginger’s career in Real Estate began in 2002 in Hawaii, where she was born and raised. Ginger grew up in Real Estate and she has worked in a variety of capacities, which has provided her with multi-faceted exposure and a broad understanding of the industry. With a background in property management, sales and leasing, her portfolio has included a wide spectrum of property types including Class A multi-family residential properties, business mixed-use properties, industrial warehouse complexes, office buildings, and community retail centers. Upon putting down roots in Sonoma County in 2011 and becoming a Realtor in California, she successfully explored single-family home sales for a number of years and holds her real estate license currently.
Now, Ginger brings her industry experience and her background in sales and marketing to support the team. Personally, she is so excited to become part of the process that works to give back to the community that she has grown to love. In her spare time, Ginger loves to cook, work in her garden and take dance classes. She volunteers time with the Girl Scouts of Northern California as an adult member, and through her kids’ schools.

Tom is currently a Construction Manager for Christopherson Builders working in Sonoma county on the Fountaingrove fire rebuilds. He was born and raised in San Francisco. His first exposure to Sonoma county was as a youth enjoying life at Cloverleaf Ranch summer camp, riding and caring for horses. Tom’s family relocated to the Central Valley and after graduating High School in Fresno, Tom went on to study Business Management and Real Estate at Fresno City College. Tom has worked for over 35 years in the building industry on both residential and commercial developments. He relocated to Sonoma County in 1989 and has since worked with prominent builders in the area, including Jim Murphy and Associates. Tom enjoys building high-end quality homes, one of which was featured in The New Yorker magazine. Over the years Tom has built numerous commercial projects including wineries, financial institutions and schools; Sonoma Country Day School being his favorite. His personal interests are his 3 children and 4 grandchildren, all Bay Area sports teams, road racing and spending sunny days at one of the many beautiful Sonoma Coast beaches.

Robert (Robbie) Scroggin has recently joined our growing team as Construction Manager for our expanding portfolio of building projects in Sonoma County, specifically our Santa Rosa and Healdsburg area projects. Robbie had an early start to his career as a teenager, working for his Dad’s construction company on weekends, school breaks, and on holidays. One of his first experiences after college was Foreman of his family’s welding shop, building and installing steel staircases in Santa Cruz. Shortly thereafter his company took on a large hospitality renovation project for Motel 6, during which time Robbie became the Project Manager overseeing the schedule and budget for the projects. In 2017 Robbie received his General Contractor license, and he now has over 10 years of comprehensive construction industry experience including the remodeling of single-family homes, the building of brand new turn-key homes, and as he says, basically anything. Robbie is a Ukiah resident, and with his wife, they own “Labels Recycled Fashion”, a consignment boutique. Robbie’s favorite way to reset is to get away from civilization and out into nature – he enjoys hunting, fishing, off-roading in his Jeep Gladiator, and spending time with his wife.

Robert has joined the Christopherson team as Construction Manager, and he is currently the person in charge of multiple private contract projects here in Sonoma County.
Robert has been in the construction industry for over 30 years and has worked his way up through the ranks over the years by showing great persistence, a diligent work ethic, and always continuing his mission to gain further expertise across the field. He started his career in Lodi, working for a small company stocking and patching drywall. Having gained his start in the industry, Robert decided that he was ready for more, and for the next 20 years, he worked for a well-known home builder in Sacramento. There, he expanded his skill set across all facets of home building, starting in detailing and close-out job punch, and moving into higher level positions of Assistant Superintendent, and Superintendent to running jobs independently. In addition, he has a substantial experience as a Production and New Home Warranty Manager, both for developers and as a managing consultant to smaller niche home builders.
Robert resides in Roseville, California where he loves to spend time with his kids, dogs and enjoying life outside, actively hiking, biking, and running.

Nick started with us a laborer, and through hard work and dedication to the team and his craft, he has been promoted to Assistant Construction Manager with Christopherson Builders. He supports the construction team in building homes in Napa and Sonoma counties and is trusted with many critical oversight activities, keeping our projects seamlessly on track.
In his spare time, Nick gardens, spends time with family and friends and loves running with his dog. He also enjoys spending summer days at the lake in Hidden Valley. Nick is currently taking classes toward his CM designation, and his future certainly does look bright with us!

Ashell Cunningham is a third-generation resident of the North Bay with a wide-ranging background in construction and landscape management. She began her career in new home sales at Christopherson Homes, quickly moved into project management, and obtained her General Contractor’s license with a focus on development. She then had the opportunity to partner with a landscape/engineering company and obtained her C-27. Raised at the knee of a Landscape professional her passion and knowledge developed to the point of becoming the sole owner of the company with a focus on Estate landscape management.
With an extensive background in all aspects of marketing properties and creating value for clients of Christopherson Properties and over 20 years in the trades, Ashell is committed to clients and the experience of creating beautiful surroundings together. Karri is a local girl, born and raised in the Bay Area. She’s tried moving away a few times, but always comes back to the one place that feels like home – and we are glad she’s here with us. As our Purchasing Coordinator, Karri helps our team estimate and procure all of the components needed to build a home. She has spent many years in customer-centric industries, most recently acting as the lead customer service representative at a Swiss-based electrical connector company. In her free time, Karri enjoys spending time with her daughter and relaxing with a good read. She’s also a 80’s and 90’s pop culture aficionado, and loves crafting – especially Halloween costumes!

Introducing Mary, our Sales & Marketing Assistant. Mary has become an invaluable addition to our Sales and Marketing team, offering broad support across teams and departments both in the office and out in the field. She holds an Associates Degree at SRJC and is close to attaining her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Sacramento State. Upon completion of her B.A., Mary plans to study for her California Real Estate license and aspires to develop a career in Real Estate and Design. A Santa Rosa native, Mary enjoys exploring the outdoors with her dog, spending time with friends, and traveling as much as possible.

Working part-time as an Executive Assistant at Christopherson Builders, Hannah supports both Keith and Amy with various administrative activities including support in critical meetings and moving timely actions forward while keeping high priority tasks visible.
She recently obtained a license in commercial drone photography which she utilizes in her current role, and she continues to apply her graphic design and photography skills in support of the Design Studio and for marketing initiatives.
In her free time, you can find Hannah in the outdoors enjoying sunny days at the coast or hiking the many trails throughout Sonoma and Napa counties, or relaxing with family and friends.
